45m US dollars for a fashion start-up

Founded in 2015, the online marketplace Na-kd is now one of the 20 fastest growing companies in Europe. Earlier this year, the Swedes raised 45 million US dollars from investors. CEO Jarno Vanhatapio will talk about his success at the GDI Retail Summit in September.

Na-kd is quite different from older e-commerce platforms. The direct-to-consumer brand designs, produces, distributes and sells its products in-house, classical retailers are left out. Social media influencers take over the marketing for stylish yet affordable fashion:

The success of the concept was demonstrated by the last round of financing, in which the fashion start-up raised 45 million US dollars in venture capital. The ambitious goal: Na-kd wants to become the preferred fashion provider for millennials. In addition to the global online platform, the brand will soon launch nine local websites.

Na-kd founder and CEO Jarno Vanhatapio was a speaker at the 68th International Retail Summit 2018.
