European Food Trends Report 2019
The food world is undergoing ever more rapid change. Consumers are developing new needs, preferences, attitudes and expectations. Producers, processors, restaurateurs and retailers are trying to respond. At the same time, digitalisation and technological progress are opening up new forms of food production. And food waste remains an unsolved problem.
The GDI's "European Food Trends Report" is published every two years. The report tracks and describes the most important developments in the value creation network: What happens to existing trends? What new trends are emerging? Which trends are losing importance over time?
In the upcoming edition of the "European Food Trends Report 2019", the interrelationships between food and sustainability, well-being and services will be explored. The new report will be published in September 2019.
