Change of management at the GDI
Rüschlikon, 10 November 2020 – Economist Lukas Jezler will take over as head of the Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute at the beginning of 2021. He succeeds David Bosshart, who has started a new position as Chairman of the Gottlieb and Adele Duttweiler Foundation.
Lukas Jezler will be the new head of the Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute (GDI). He succeeds David Bosshart, who took over as Chairman of the Gottlieb and Adele Duttweiler Foundation in April 2020. Bosshart will retain operational management of the GDI until the end of 2020 and will continue to support Jezler during the transition phase in the first quarter of 2021. "I wish Lukas Jezler every success and fulfillment in his new role and look forward to continuing to work with the GDI," said Bosshart.
Lukas Jezler (49) studied business administration at the University of Zurich and then worked for around 20 years in Switzerland and Germany in various international management positions. He has been working for the Migros Group for just under two years, most recently as Head of Strategic Development and Head of the Directorate Coordination of Club Schools and Leisure Facilities. During this time, his focus was on strategic topics and projects such as digitalization of the working world, organizational and human resources development, leadership, and health initiatives, such as the development of MiSENSO, the Migros Group's new specialty store for acoustics and optics. "I am very much looking forward to the new challenge and to shaping the future of this important institute together with the team of the Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute," said Lukas Jezler.
A detailed tribute to David Bosshart on his more than 20 successful years as head of the Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute will be made on the occasion of the handover of staff in spring 2021.
