Workshop Technology Disruptions

27 - 28 May 2014

A unique gathering of very different and smart people should lead to new and outstanding insights and inspire cross-disciplinary, conceptual work on new business opportunities.

We know the disruptions are coming. „Big data“ and „the Internet of Things“ already seem to be behind us, but only because the buzz has abated for the time being.

Truth is, we haven’t even scratched the surface of this. There is a host of things we don’t even have the slightest idea about yet. Technology has progressed to the point where what we build is only constrained by the limits of our imagination.

In this workshop, we look for new ideas beyond the established future narratives and for the unexpected ways technology will change our life.

Goals
- Generate, co-create and review disruptive ideas and trends from all aspects in society (manufacturing, pharma, consumers,...) that impact (and are impacted by) information technology
- Connecting and translating ideas, trends, visions into actionable insights

The workshop will be interactive and consist of expert inputs, discussions, brainstorms, group work and experiments.

Output
The output of the workshop will go beyond established future narratives, catalyze attention and outline future possibilities in the form of:
- Report with conclusions
- Map of disruptive innovations
- Specific ideas for innovation – technology market disruptions or new major IT challenges
