Dan Ariely

Professor of Psychology and Behavioral Economics at Duke University and founder of The Center for Advanced Hindsight. After obtaining his Ph.D. in cognitive psychology from the University of North Carolina, he taught at MIT between 1998 and 2008, before returning to Duke University.

Nina Mazar

Professor of Marketing and Co-Director of the Susilo Institute for Ethics in the Global Economy at Questrom School of Business, Boston University. Also Co-Founder of BEworks, Toronto and Co-Founder of BEAR, Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. Senior Behavioral Scientist at the World Bank. A behavioural scientist, Nina has been named as one of “The 40 Most Outstanding B-School Profs Under 40 In The World”. With her focus on behavioral economics, Nina investigates consumer behavior, how it deviates from standard economic assumptions, and its implications for policy.

Professor of Experimental Economics at the University of Innsbruck. Sutter is one of Europe’s most well-known researchers on the subject. His research focuses heavily on group decision making and the question of how economic decision-making behaviour changes in adolescence.

Kelly Peters

CEO and Co-Founder of BEworks. Peters has overseen the launch of several new business ventures that capitalized on insights into consumer behavior. Her interest in behavioral science stems back to the late 90s when working on behavioral scoring models in credit risk and online distribution models. Peters is a Faculty Lecturer of Applied Behavioral Science at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, and regularly lectures at Cornell, Harvard, and other academies.

Professor for Business Administration with a focus on Electronic Commerce at Goethe University Frankfurt. His research focus is on electronic commerce and online marketing (especially search engine optimisation and real time advertising, Social Media management, customer management and pricing). The 2014 Handelsblatt ranking listed him No. 1 of all German speaking professors of business administration.

Hannes Schwandt

Assistant Professor in Economics, University of Zurich. Before joining the Economics Department in Zurich he spent three years as a post-doc at Princeton, after receiving his PhD in the European Doctoral Programme at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona and the London School of Economics. His research interests include Health Economics, Economic Demography, Labour Economics, and Subjective Wellbeing.

Professor of Microeconomics and Experimental Economics. Fehr is director of the Department of Economics at the University of Zurich and a member of the board of directors of FehrAdvice & Partners. The “most influential Swiss economist” (NZZ) was recipient of the Gottlieb Duttweiler Prize in 2013.

Michel Maréchal

Associate Professor of Experimental Economics, University of Zürich. Maréchal's research is interdisciplinary and crosses the boundaries of economics to social psychology, finance, political science, criminology, and biology. My current research projects cover topics like honesty, employee motivation, business culture and unethical behavior, as well as context-dependence in economic preferences. The Economist, BBC, New York Times, Harvard Business Review and other media outlets featured his research.

Sandro Ambühl

Assistant Professor in the Department of Management at the University of Toronto Scarborough, with a cross-appointment to the Business Economics area at Rotman. One of his interests concerns designing policies for the exchange of goods about which people have strong ethical intuitions, as is the case, for example, with living organ donation. In another line of research, he studies what policies help people make good financial decisions. His research has been featured in the Washington Post, the Financial Times, and the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.

Director Breuninger Card and Customer Service, Breuninger. Reinhard Ruch studied Business Administration in Hohenheim and afterwards became CEO of SüdBest, a customer retantion programme. Since 2012 Ruch leads Breuninger's customer card and since 2014 he is also responsible for the digitalisation of the high end fashion house.

Martin Natter

Professor of Marketing, University of Zurich. He received a doctorate in business administration from Vienna University in 1994. In 1999 he received tenure and was Associate Professor at Vienna University until 2005. From 2005 to 2016 he was the Hans Strothoff Chair of Retail Marketing at Goethe University Frankfurt. His interest in research lies in the area of pricing, retailing, digitalization and positioning. His research has been published in leading academic journals such as Management Science, Marketing Science, International Journal of Research in Marketing (IJRM) or Journal of Marketing.
