61st International Retail Summit

Study Tour
We'll introduce you to Zurich's most innovative new store concepts on the eve of the 61st Retail Summit, for instance the brand-new Swisscom Store on Bahnhofstrasse, the M-Way Shop, which is all about electric vehicles, or the Changemaker Shop, which focuses on fine shopping with a sustainable aesthetic – and a few more. Your guide will be Regula Wirth (Umdasch Shop-Concept), who has put together and organised this exclusive trendspotting trip for the GDI Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute.

  • Introductory presentation on "The DNA of Successful Shops" by Caroline Wicky (from Umdasch Shop-Concept, Business Development) as a warm-up to the study tour
  • Exploring new stores in Zurich (on foot)
  • Discussions with shop operators about their target groups and markets and their success factors
  • Evening meal together to share ideas and build on the impressions gained

Venues
Introductory presentation at GDI Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute in Rüschlikon, followed by store tour in Zurich and dinner at Neumarkt Restaurant.

Participation and price
The participant number is limited to 15 (consideration according to the date on which registration is received). We will provide further details of the tour in mid-August. Registration for the International Retail Summit is a pre-condition of participation in the study tour.

Participation in the tour costs CHF 350.- per person, including introductory presentation, transfer, guided tour and store-operator statements, aperitif and dinner.
